Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Boy! He turned 8 in March.

Planting Our Spring Garden

Look closely for the row of white bean seeds. We've learned in Science that every seed has a seed coat and after it gets water and planted in soil, it will germinate into a new seedling.
A whole bunch a young gardners planting and caring for the new cabbage plants and lots and lots of onion starts. We also planted seed potatoes around the outside edges of our garden. We learned that some vegetables grow beneath the ground, while others grow above the ground.
We put some of our "black gold," worm feterlizer into our garden before we planted our seeds. We got the worm soil from feeding the worms all winter waiting for them to turn the brown peat moss into rich black dirt. We will have to wait and see if this good soil does its magic in our garden. We also planted tomatoes, peppers, carrots and radishes.
