Inventions Made with Straws

Each student had 10 plastic straws and a rubber band to work with to create something. Here is a fishing pole.
Look closely at the pencil attached to the straw. She could stand back from the pencil sharpener and get the pencil to sharpen just by lifting her arm. We were all amazed!
Making a rhombus and dividing it in half.
Making a triangle.
Making something long, perhaps a sword.
Folding and linking shapes together.

Valentine's Day Party 2011

Thanks to our Room Mom for bringing the ingredients to make ice cream and toppings.

Welcome to Family Night

We took this picture outside our school on the day of the western theme Family Night.
Mrs. Abraham made this cactus. We posed for a picture in front of the cactus.

These girls grew some great cauliflower in our garder and they were proud of it.
Mrs. Quick, our librarian, came to show us all about making quilts.

We have a new student in our class. Now we have 12 boys and 7 girls.
