Showcase May 16,2010

The students made this poster. Worms don't eat junk foods.

Our table display.

Digging in the worm farm.

Showing off our worms.

Digging for the biggest worms!

Our classmates showing thei worms to the visitors.

Our worms that have multiplied and grown since January.

Measuring a worm.

Before the showcase we had to harvest the worm composted soil.

We put all the "rich soil" into the blue cooler.

We weighed the rich soil" and found we had 60 cups and that all weighed 22 pounds. The students helped measure. At the showcase we gave samples of our composted soil away.

This is the drippings off the worm farm box. Any liquid from the foods plus the added water seeps threw the dirt and collects under the box. We call this Worm Tea.

A picture of our garden. The tomatoes are really producing since we added the worm compost.

This is one of our tomatoes. We have lots of them right now.

We did an experiment in class using lima beans and our composted soil. This was the winning plant.
